Discover your exciting roleThe Exyte Tool Install Design Manager’s function is to make sure that all design activities within the project fulfill project standards. They supervise and manage all design activities within the project including scope, budget and schedule. The Tool Install Design Manager reports to the Project Manager.Explore your tasks and responsibilitiesEnsures the overall project design and production process is conducted following the prescribed company processes and procedures and is in accordance with the stipulated project budget and schedule (including planning, monitoring, and reporting).Works with or leads a team of engineers and/or designers to create and document designs fulfilling the project design scope consistent with industry-accepted practice as well as client-preferred standards, with minimal supervision.Coordinates the work of the design leads and design team that are producing tool install construction documentsEnsures the team meets the schedule requirements while also working with the schedule team to level the client schedule.Responsible for ensuring the team is performing the contracted scope of work, working with the design leads to create and process all needed change ordersWorks with the Project Controls team to review budgetsReports project status to the client and project managerServe as the main point of contact for the client design manager, facilitating weekly status meetings, and enabling communication as needed.Coordinates and leads continuous improvement effortsOther duties as assignedShow your expertiseMinimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required8+ years of experience showing increasing responsibility leading teams2+ years in Tool InstallExperience in leading teams and workgroups, small to medium projectsPreferred Equivalent experience in lieu of minimum educational requirement acceptedProject Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferredPrior experience with advanced technologyPrior experience in consulting engineeringExperience working within a team environmentExperience contributing to continuous improvement processesExperience leading a team to a successful outcomeSkills & KnowledgeDetailed understating of Lean execution principles for design of projectsGood time management skills, strong work ethic and attention to detailsGood verbal and written communication skillsMust be a strong team player with an ability to build effective working relationships with individuals, department leads, and client representativesAbility to train team on lean principles needed to design and manage projectEnergetic and self-motivatedAbility to mentor and train junior staffAbility build and maintain positive and productive working relationships both internal and externalExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to resolve conflict and solve problems while leading by exampleProficient in Excel, Teams, OutlookBasic understanding of AutoCad, Bluebeam, and Power BI a plusContact:You want to be part of the Exyte team?
