Job Description

Salary: $87,684.8 - 140,121.6 per year Requirements:

• An associate degree in computer science or a related discipline
• Two years of experience with radiology information systems preferred
• A comparable mix of education and professional experience may be considered in place of the stated requirements

• We provide day-to-day support and administration for PACS equipment, including image workflow, archiving, auto-routing, pre-fetching, and image quality assurance
• We partner with department managers and supervisors to maintain accurate DICOM digital image transfer into PACS, along with network transmission RIS validation and exception handling
• We carry out database updates such as additions, corrections, and testing to support new business needs and project work
• We collaborate with Information Systems staff to analyze user issues and develop solutions while supporting clinical systems
• We identify, evaluate, and resolve issues affecting PACS and other assigned clinical applications
• We define tasks, assign ownership, set completion timelines, and communicate status updates
• We respond to current and future PACS clinical computing needs by recommending equipment, software, and workflow improvements
• We create training materials and communicate work plans to support initial and ongoing end-user training
• We ensure adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and mandatory education requirements
• We investigate operational challenges and prepare proposals for solutions, working closely with radiologists, operations managers, supervisors, technologists, and administration as needed
• We collaborate with Imaging Department Information Services, IT, and Imaging team members to develop operating standards, policies, procedures, and training programs
• We review user feedback, analyze support data, and recommend process and educational improvements
• We work with Imaging teams to identify and design future QA/QC needs and more efficient workflow processes that further integrate into operations
